Two luxurious and cosy studios hidden away in Lamesley, Gateshead, on the outskirts of Newcastle city

ABOUT
Part of South Farm and previously a goat shed, we have two luxurious studios, each complete with their own private courtyard and sheltered hot tub.
Set in the lovely countryside village of Lamesley, yet just half a mile away from the A1, we are within easy reach of vibrant Newcastle, beautiful Durham and the Metro Centre.
Your stay includes a hot drinks tray, snacks and bottle of Prosecco to toast⦠well, just because.
Check in starts from 3pm and check out is 11am. We love dogs and children but don’t host them – this is an adult-exclusive experience.
Light and breezy, South Studio brings a chilled vibe to your stay. The private courtyard has a seating area and hot tub. Once you’ve had your fill of hot tub bubbles, there is a huge corner sofa to lounge on while streaming your favourite shows. WiFi available. You also have the benefit of a fully equipped kitchen, with oven, hob and microwave.
Gorgeous and sumptuous, North Studio is the place to indulge in some well deserved R&R. There is a private courtyard with seating, and of course your own private hot tub to relax in. If you crave more soaking time, there is a whirlpool bath to enjoy.
The studio has full TV streaming capability and WiFi. You also have the benefit of a fully equipped kitchen, with oven, hob and microwave.
A seasonal Log Burner is available on request – we will build the fire and provide additional logs to burn through the winter evenings for a nominal fee which covers the cleaning, fire lighters and fuel.

The lovely and characterful Ravensworth Arms pub is a ten minute walk from Hot Tub Hideaway.
Antony Gormley’s famous Angel of the North is a must see – just a five minute drive away (or you can see a head and a wing from the back garden).
Also a five minute drive away is Team Valley Retail World, which has a great range of shops – you will also pass a Sainsbury’s on the way there).
If you enjoy countryside walks, Lamesley Pastures is beautiful (wellies may be required!). We’re also close to Bowes Railway Path.

A city steeped in history with a famous Cathedral (some Harry Potter was even filmed here!) and beautiful winding streets.
Metro Centre – 10 minutes drive.
One of the biggest shopping centres in the UK – lots of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Beamish Museum – 10 minutes drive. The fabulous living museum of the north set in 350 acres of countryside. We’re lucky to have this so close.

Of course, we can’t forget to mention Northumberland with its unspoilt coastline and castles. A little further away, but still an easy day trip – Alnwick is a 50 minute drive.

ECO
We’re proud to promote holidaying in the UK, or the “staycation”. Who needs to fly when we have all of this here! But we’re also keen to find ways to minimise the environmental impact of hot tub hideaway.
We’ve started to grow a section of garden into a wild one which will support the local wildlife, and are working with a local bee keeper who we hope will set up some hives at the back of the garden. Our very own hot tub honey!
Biodegradable slippers are currently on trial. We provide toiletries for use on site, but stick to large dispensers to reduce plastic single use versions. We’re also researching ways to recycle our used hot tub water – any ideas are welcome.
